Describes the ISORID programme of UNESCO and makes an analytical study of library and information science research in India based on the input to ISORID. The study focusses attention on the areas and types of research done in India. Information on research projects includes institutions engaged in research activity, sponsorship, subject-wise, year-wise breakdown and duration of projects. In addition. the common media employed for the dissemination of library and information science research activities are mentioned. A list of research projects with an alphabetical subject index to projects is given in the appendix.Downloads
